Rule 119
Computation of prior service period

(1) The calculation of the previous service period of the employee shall be done as follows:-
(a) For the purpose of calculation of seniority for promotion, the period of service previously held on permanent appointment in Government service or post
(If it is broken in between, the broken period will be cut off) 100% and previously serving in a developmental position and keeping that service uninterrupted and having previously served in a civil service position for more than one year and keeping that service uninterrupted, development or temporary The service period will be calculated as follows:-
(1) Thirty-three percent for the period of service rendered in gazetted first class (2) Fifty percent for the period of service rendered in Gazetted Second Class (3) Sixty-six percent for the period of service rendered in gazetted third category (4) Seventy-five percent for the period of service rendered at the gazetted level (b) For the purpose of pension, the service period previously appointed permanently in the government service or position (if interrupted, the broken period shall be deducted) and the service rendered in such a position before the date of 2026.8.11 in the development or temporary position shall be kept uninterrupted by the employees who joined the service. (2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if a person who has previously received gratuity for any government service rendered, is re-appointed to a health service post, only if he returns the amount of gratuity previously received, his previous service period shall be counted towards the current post in accordance with this rule.
